What’s new in TAB Reader 6.2

TAB Reader 6.2 is a new minor update representing following changes.

What's new in TAB Reader 6.2 for ArcGIS Pro

 

Support for ArcGIS Pro 3.0

TAB Reader 6.2 is provided for use with the new ArcGIS Pro 3.0. If you work with the previous ArcGIS Pro 2.x versions, you can use TAB Reader 6.1.

 

Improved feature rendering

Fixed work with shadows and halos for font style point symbols.

 

Improved support for exporting datasets

- Fixed converting precision and scale of numeric fields.
- Added command to context menu of feature classes and tables in Contents Pane, Catalog Pane and Catalog View.

 

Enhanced support for MapInfo TAB files

- Text data are now converted to annotations ArcGIS Pro.
- Feature layer aliases, field properties (aliases, visibility, and order) are now supported. 
- Improved reading geometry and field schemes.

 

Extended support for MapInfo workspaces

- Tables unused in maps in MapInfo workspaces can be converted to output geodatabases.
- MapInfo workspaces can be renamed now.

 

Improved support for MIF datasets

Fixed work with tables without geometry.

 

Other changes

- TAB Reader 6.2 can be installed with ArcGIS Pro 3.0.

Support for ArcGIS 10.8.2

TAB Reader 6.2 can be used with the latest ArcMap 10.8.2 version.

 

Improved support for exporting feature classes

- Paths to rasters from raster fields are now exported to text fields in TAB format.
- Fixed converting annotations to TAB.

 

Enhanced support for MapInfo TAB files

- Feature layer aliases, field properties (aliases, visibility, and order) are now supported.
- Fixed symbol size saving as representations.
- Improved reading geometry and field schemes.

 

Improved support for MIF datasets
